Women's Issues |

One of the sites offered by the terrific ParentsPlace website. This page has a small variety of links providing support for stay-at-home as well as working mothers, a newsletter and a discussion group for Feminist Mothers at Home.
Feminist Theory and Feminist Jurisprudence on the WWW
Organized by Professor Kim Dayton who teaches a Feminist Theory Workshop at the University of Kansas, this site contains a syllabus of her course with numerous required and recommended readings. It also takes you to the Feminist Curricular Resources Clearing House which, in turn, takes you to other Women & the Law course outlines and resources. This contains a really good listing of Feminist Resources on the Internet.
The opening page has a lengthy list of links to feminist resources by category, including Interdisciplinary Sites, Legal Texts, Violence, Biographies of Prominent Women Judges (only Americans are listed) and women lawyers as well as Feminist Fun.
Professor Dayton has compiled a varied and useful site in which you can spend many hours browsing. Not for everyone, but great for those who are interested.
Created to "provide women with a comprehensive, searchable directory of links to female-friendly sites and information on the World Wide Web". It has a detailed list of topics and sites to visit. A much less intense site than Feminist Theory and Feminist Jurisprudence on the WWW (discussed above) and aimed at a wider audience.
The Hastings College of the Law will be presenting this law journal online shortly. Their first electric version will be an in-depth and scholarly discussion of "America's Criminal Justice System: Where Sexism, Racism and Classism Converge - Critical Perspectives on the OJ Simpson Trial". While this journal was not yet online when last looked at it, appears to be the only law journal devoted entirely to women's issues on the Internet.
This is a huge site filled with connections to all sorts of sites of interest for women. It has sections dealing with Marriage & Divorce, Herspace: The Parenting & Family Page and more.
This site is by an Ob/Gyn Nurse Practitioner designed to help women get the best out of their second 40 years. It deals with medical, psychological and social issues. You can click to subscribe to your own "Hot Flash of the Month" newsletter or get a "Men oh Pause Survival Kit".
Please submit any information regarding other Women's Issues sites which you think should be added to this Directory. Thanks, Joel miller.
One of the most noteable things about the Internet is how often sites you really like disappear. Everyone of the sites referred to above was operational and accessable at the time it was reviewed - but there is no guarantee it's still there. If you tried to click onto a site and had difficulty, please send us an e-mail so we can look into it. Thanks, Joel Miller
