The intention with the Resource Directories is to collect by topic links to a variety of sites dealing with specific family law related topics (except for the Newsstand Directory which was put together for fun). We have tried to be comprehensive with respect to Canadian sites and to be representative with respect to American sites. Most often, each of the sites linked with have their own set of links to take you further into the area.
No site is referred to which hasn't been viewed and all are reviewed to give you an idea of what you might find. But sites on the internet change all too frequently and if you come across one which is no longer there, please let us know. As well, please let us know if there is any other site of which you are aware which should be added to a particular Directory.
There are some Directories, however, which aren't just collections of links to somewhere else. For example, the Research Facility of the Ontario Legal Aid Plan has allowed us to publish their listing of Family Law Memoranda and the Ontario Child Support Guidelines Directory sets out the schedule of payments called for under the new legislation as well as taking you to the government's own Internet site explaining the Guidelines.
All in all we think you'll find lots of information here to explore and enjoy.
To select an area of interest just scroll up and down the Table of Contents inside the frame to your left and click on the Directory you want. The resources associated with that area will appear inside this frame for you to read. If you should have any difficulty working the frames, you can get tips on how to make them easier to deal with by clicking Help.
If you have any suggestions about other Directories, or anything else about the the FLC Resource Directories, please contact us. Thanks, Joel Miller.
