Second
Wives Club Book Shoppe
This site is difficult to enter if you don't have a subscription,
but anyone can access their Book & Video Shoppe. (If a screen requiring
you to enter info comes up, just cancel it and you stay in the main page.)
But this site has one of the best selections of books on the topic of
step-parenting, remarriage, and second families I've seen. It includes
some books for kids of blended families and represents a fabulous resource
which clients planning to remarry, or already in a blended relationship,
might want to peruse.
Dr.
Warshak's Recommended Reading on Divorce, Child Custody, and Parenting
Dr. Richard Warschak writes quite a lot about child custody and access
issues and has a website promoting the purchase of his articles and books.
But this link takes you to a list of books, only one of which is his,
dealing with various issues confronting separating people, especially
those who have children. If you want to explore this area more, or have
clients who might want to read a book about the experience, you can invite
them to check out the ones listed here. All can be purchased with a click
of the mouse through amazon.com.
Divorcesource.com
The Divorce source Store
This website has over 130 books listed and described in over 20 categories
for nearly every kind of divorce/separation situation. The books are described
and the selection is really good.
Fathers Are Capable
Too
This is a non-custodial group - primarily fathers - with concerns about
their rights to be with their children. While the site is very focussed,
their selection of books is wide and useful.
Children's
Rights Council
A really extensive listing of books on all sorts of relevant topics.
International
Academy of Collaborative Professionals Resources - Books
A great selection of books dealing with the art and science of negotiation
and mediation.
