The Divorce Survival Guide
If you printed off and bound all of the Newsletters from this site and the Sessions from the site below you'd have a terrific "Divorce Book" for those of your clients interested in reading about divorce and its effects on them and their children and how to cope with it all.

CHILDREN & DIVORCE An Internet Inservice Experience for Professionals
Robert Hughes, Jr., Ph.D., Department of Human Development & Family Science, The Ohio State University has a course outline in depth the purpose of which "is to examine the research literature on the effects of divorce on children and to review programs for helping children adjust. This course will consider current research information regarding divorce. It will also examine the evidence regarding how factors such as parental conflict, poverty and life stress affect children's adjustment. In addition to the research this course will review several intervention programs for children and their parents and consider the effectiveness of these efforts." This is a fabulous resource for the parent genuinely interested in the effects divorce may have on their children and how it's not at all inevitable that the effects be negative. There are Parent Guides which are no longer accessible on the internet but the 6 course sessions are detailed and authoritative. This is highly recommended for the parent who is prepared to spend some time learning how to best deal with their situation.

Divorce Magazine
Divorce Magazine has developed greatly over the years and each edition invariably has something of interest and value to each of our clients. Their website collects all sorts of material together and is both dense with information and fun to browse through. Their Articles section contains the best they've published since 1996 with new ones being added regularly. The tone is straightforward and accessible for our clients and the "Ask Ivana Trump" and "Mars and Venus Advice" columns are fun. This site has much to offer.

Divorce Online
This site has a number of very informative articles on a range of family law subjects.

The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers
This site is by Americans, for Americans, but has material on it of interest to our clients. There are 2 great handbooks "Stepping Back From Anger - Protecting Your Children During Divorce" and "Making Marriage Last - A Guide to Preventing Divorce" that are both well worth reading, as well as a Children's Bill Of Rights and other material. They have an interesting Divorce Manual - A Client Handbook, but this is heavily focussed on the American situation and you should caution clients not to read it and think that the same situations apply here.

DivorceTransitions
The articles found in the Articles and News Archive are amongst the most practical on the web. They include advice as to the things you should take when you leave the house, getting separate credit cards, avoiding arguements with your ex, saftey precautions to take when placing personal ads, fresh start dating, and more.

The Better Divorce Network
An American site, but it has an interesting Divorce Tutorial which some clients may find interesting to review. The site is primarily interested in selling its forms and software, especitally its Divorce Calendar os be sure to warn clients that much of what's there isn't applicable here.

Divorce Central
A fun site to browse with lots of resources for everyone. They have a Divorce in the News feed with gossipy items, a Divorce Room with books, etc., and an interewting list of items under Contents which includes a series of "handbooks" dealing with subjects such as Parenting, Dating, and Save Your Marriage. One heading with several really interesting items is Stategy Net which has a number of great sections including a full booklet size item called "TAO of Divorce: A Woman's Guide to Winning (based on Sun Tzu's the Art of War)", as well as articles on 20 Great Strategioes For Coming OUt Ahead" and Rebound Strategies."

Divorce Service.com
This is a relatively new Canadian site by lawyer Patricia Gay designed to sell forms for those people interested in doing their own uncontested divorce. There's lots of good information about the divorce process on this site and a great collection of articles and a books on divorce.

Divorce Helpline
Their Reading Room has a large selection of both short and longer articles on all sorts of Divorce related subjects. Also has "A Short Divorce Course", which is American in content but with lots of generic and helpful information for people trying to organize a non-destructive divorce process.

Fathers Are Capable Too
This is a non-custodial group - primarily fathers - with concerns about their rights to be with their children. While the site is very focussed, their collection of articles on various topics such as Parental Alienation, Comestic Violence, Child Abuse and Neglect, Fathering, etc. is quite worthwhile.

Heart Choice
The site's premise is corny but their Divorce Room has a number of very interesting and worthwhile articles in the Reading Room, as well as a Divorce Survival Check-up.

Divorcesource.com
This is a great site if you're an American. It's huge but very heavily oriented to selling it's numerous products. However, it has an interesting Articles section and a great selection of book suggestions.
